On Tuesday, March 18, we had the pleasure of hearing from the respected Mr. Evans and Dr. Thompson at our Great Minds Event, which was an opportunity to hear from counselors who specialize in family systems and child development.

Dr. Michael Thompson is the author and co-author of several books, including the New York Times bestseller, Raising Cain: Protecting the Emotional Life of Boys.

Dr. Robert Evans is a clinical and organizational psychologist, school consultant, and executive coach to school leaders. A former high school and pre-school teacher, he has consulted to more than 1,800 schools, throughout the U.S. and internationally, working with teachers, leaders, and boards, and has spoken to hundreds of parents.

This event was a rare opportunity to gather with other schools in the Palisades who were affected by the fire, such as Village School, St. Matthews, Calvary Christian, and St Marks. This partnership exemplifies how schools play an essential role not just in education, but in restoring the structure and predictability that our children need, especially in times of uncertainty.
